| The stadium will be renovated,
with current seating removed and replaced with a permanent
structure. It will better serve the needs of intercollegiate
athletics.
Current concepts call for a multi-use facility with approximately
20,000 seats that can be expanded to 25,000 if necessary.
The new stadium will include support facilities such as
concession stands, public restrooms, a press box, private
suites, VIP spectator, and other spectator amenities and
services.
Preliminary cost estimates for a stadium renovation range
from $32 to $36 million. The financing plan, design and
project timeline are still being developed.
